Well, hopefully I’ve got a few of you scratching your heads, wondering who to pick to be amongst the first inductees to Big Phil’s Hall Of Fame. Well here are MY reasons why they made the shortlist. There’ll be another chance to vote below. Triple H
One of my personal heroes, so charismatic, and a great character as far as I’m concerned, whether he is only as successful as he is because of Stephanie or not, no-one can deny his ability.

Ric Flair
Do I really need to elaborate? 17 times. The Nature Boy. No-One can doubt his worthy ness.

Shawn Michaels
Always been one of my heroes. Been around for so long, yet still on top and still entertaining millions, including me! So charismatic, should stop being called an icon and start taking the legend moniker that he so deserves.

Kurt Angle
I felt obliged to put a TNA wrestler in here. I was always a fan of his in WWE. One thing that made me put him in here? Milk-O-Mania!

The Undertaker
15-0. One of the most electrifying entrances ever. Just pure energy exhumes from him, be it live (which is astounding, those who have seen him live will agree) or on TV, goosebumps arise every time he’s there.

Kane
Wrestling isn’t all about main event players. Those main event players need someone to beat, and look good beating. I’m not calling Kane a jobber here, I’m saying he, like Hardcore Holly, is one of those people who seems comfortable in a mid card position. It was a toss up between the two of them to make it on to the shortlist, but Kane just pipped it with the character points.

Dusty Rhodes
Being 15, I’m not amazingly familiar with his work, but what I’ve seen on YouTube and the such like, and his involvement with Cody’s entrance story line he’s endeared himself to me.

Mae Young
Still kinda funny to be honest. I just thought she deserved a chance.


The Fabulous Moolah
From what I’ve seen of her career, a true legend in the women’s industry.

Trish Stratus
Moolah may have made the women’s industry what it is, but Trish made it popular, blossomed from eye candy to 7 time champ.

Lita
Showed that women could mix it up with the men if needed. A pioneer for women.

Hulk Hogan
Love him or hate him, no one can deny how much of an impact he has made on the business.

Stone Cold Steve Austin
If Hogan made wrestling popular, Austin took it mainstream. The first anti-hero, and an amazingly charismatic performer.

Rey Mysterio
One of the most exciting high flyers. A little man making it in the big man’s business.

Chris Benoit
This is the Benoit before the atrocity was committed. I don’t want to pretend it never happened, but I think he deserves a chance to get in a hall of fame for his ability when he was alive.

Chris Jericho
Great promo maker, great in ring, and his book is amazing.

Eddie Guerrero
Showed that you can battle back from your demons. A hero.

Vince McMahon
Not the on screen Vince, the behind-the-scenes, caring (from what I’ve heard) businessman, who took his product global, and for that, I am truly thankful.

Mick Foley
Amazing promo man, and astounding purely because as he puts it, he’s overweight, has little to no wrestling ability (his words) yet still manages to convince us all he’s deadly, and still makes it to the top.

The Rock
Charismatic, talented, a real fan favourite.
