CLEARING IT UP

I read on some newsboard that Glacier said that he is not going to resign with the WCW at the end of this month and that the WWF offered him a three year deal already. I really don't know anymore about that situation other than what I just reported.

Marc Mero was apparently talking to WCW officials not but yesterday. He wants employment there and if everything goes right, he may be on television very quickly. There are rumors that he is getting tired of the wrestling world and that he just wants to retire and train younger talent. This is apparently being considered by the WCW staff also as they are in need of big name trainers at the WCW Power Plant. Hopefully, either the WCW or maybe even the ECW can convince him to return to the ring as he is an excellent talent and can really add to the roster of any promotion.

Yet another new feature to the lair as a result of your great response to hitting the banner ad. I have hired an excellent reporter/columnist named Matt Workman! His latest column is up in the Columns section and his reports can be seen on the newsboard daily! If you want to see the lair continue to grow, please support us by hitting the banner ad at the end of the report. I am already working on another new section for the lair...we depend on your hits on the banner ad! Thank you!

I was informed by DIXON4 that the Godfather might be the one behind GTV. Apparently, GTV only comes on before or after the Godfather's wrestling matches on the RAW telecasts. Hey, its just another possibility.

The FOX rumors are starting up again. I have heard from three different sources that the FOX people want to get a wrestling program on at least one of their many channels. The WWF is their first choice of a program for two reasons. One, the WWF is the number one wrestling promotion for any television network to pick up simply because of the ratings draw. Two, they are the hottest thing on any market right now. The WWF and FOX have a long history that dates back to the 1980's. The WWF had a show in FOX up until the whole McMahon steriod scandal. However, with the current trend of FOX programming, the WWF would fit in perfectly at any time slot. I think that the WWF does not really need another show, but it would be something to have them transfer HeAT or Metal/Jakked to the FOX television network or the FOX Sports Network. I think that it would alleviate the USA Network's television schedule, even though they love those ratings. As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, the WWF would be better of sending Metal/Jakked to the FOX network simply because it is currently syndicated through many smaller channels right now. In Metal/Jakked's place, they could put SuperAstros with an English translation with Kevin Kelly or someone and then they would be maximizing their talent pool. Just a thought...

As a follow-up to the report of Mideon turning into a mental mastermind (7/27/99 Update), it is being said that Jake Roberts was backstage at RAW this past Monday to talk to Mideon about being a pyschological genius. If you read the back of Mideon's shirt, it say to Feed Your Mind with a picture of an eyeball on the front. This is meant that by peering into the pysche of a wrestler, you can feed your own hunger for knowledge about them. The WWF has some great angles about this concept already planned, but they are still waiting on Mideon to reach the level that Roberts was at. During his hey day, Roberts could give an interview that would chill your spine and actually make you believe that he was out to physically maim his opponents. I truly think that if Mideon ever reaches that level, he would become an invaluable asset to the WWF roster simply because of the potential for feud there. Look for more about Jake Roberts' involvement with Mideon right here!

If you have heard that the WCW has canceled their German tour, then you heard correctly. They will be filming their movie in that time and they will be using over thirty of their big name superstars for the movie. They basically have no one with a big name that they can respectfully send over there.
