HERE WE GO AGAIN!
As if the last ECW talent raid wasn't enough, this time the WWF has joined the WCW and it is looking like there are going to be some big changes very shortly. As has been reported all over the internet, the Dudley Boyz have given a verbal agreement to Jim Ross that they would sign with the WWF. Why a verbal agreement and not a written contract? Well, sources say that they are going to lobby to get Sign Guy Dudley in the WWF as well, but it is being said that Joel Gertner will not be coming to the WWF. Gertner adds a level of hype to the Dudleys that they would be hard pressed to find in any other manager. The WWF has a verbal agreement from Big Dick, D-Von, and Bubba Ray Dudley and adding Sign Guy Dudley would be a great quartet to wreak havoc on the WWF tag division! I have even heard that Paul Heyman himself confirmed that the Dudleyz would be leaving the ECW. All in all, if all of the reports are true, we could see the August 9th RAW becoming the entrance to Dudleyville as well as RAW is Jericho. Wow. What a night! More on all of this on the newsboard!
Continuing with the raid, as you probably know by now, both Taz and Rob Van Dam were offered a big money deal to enter the WCW. The WCW knows that the ECW has a great following and they are actually looking to get all of the ECW stars in their hardcore division (Douglas, Saturn, Hak, Raven, Bam Bam, Taz, Public Enemy, and RVD). I think that it is amazing that both men refused their first offers because both were reportedly over a million dollars. I think that it is even more amazing that the WCW has seemingly bought the ECW talent roster time in and time out. Wow!
I thought that instead of headlining this news update as Record Wrecking, I would just name yesterday's results here. We took the old hit record of visitors to the site and basically kicked it in the ass a few times beforing give it a Stone Cold Stunner and then dropping Hogan's Leg Drop of death on it. Yeah, yesterday was the shining moment of the lair's history. I think it has something to do with the Sable pics...they are still linked on the newsboard! As I always say, continue hitting our banner ad and we will continue to grow. You all did such a great job this past week, month, and even in the past few days, that I have added another new reporter, kinglev, who will be providing us with news from all over the wrestling world. Also, since there are a lot of new lair folk these days, I have decided to beef up the Columns section as well. Starting today, we will be the home to Over the Edge. A great column written by Mick Foxy. Head over to the columns area and check it out as well as the latest Darkside column!
You know, with the greatness of the newsboard these days, I am finding it hard to report stuff that you all don't already know!
I know that I have promised to not report any more on the Hart's lawsuit. However, this latest headline will provide closure. As is stated in the AP Newswire and the WWF.com site, the District Attorney's office will not pursue the charges against the defendants in the Hart's criminal claims. Also, it is being reported that OSHA, the safety group for the stuntmen and other high risk acts, have closed their investigation as well. Both the district attorney's office and the OSHA people have ruled that the incident was nothing more than an accident. Truthfully, after reviewing everything that supposedly occurred, the truth of the fact is simple. It was a tragic, unfortunate accident. Case closed.
Because of your great support of our site, I am in negotiations with three very talented individuals to join our lair. Keep hitting on the banner ad below and I will keep giving you what you want! There are a lot more features coming! Please continue to support us! Bye!!!
