DUSTIN SAID WHAT?

As everyone knows by now, the WWF has released Dustin Runnels at his own consent and in fact, he wanted to be released. While most people would wonder why anyone would want to leave the top promotion in all of wrestling at a time when it is more popular than ever, I offer a different question. Rumors started a few days ago that Dustin wanted to morph the Goldust character...okay. What's the harm in taking a character that can either be over as a face or a heel and morphing him into an even bigger persona? Not much, right? Well, these internet reports have somewhat strengthened over the past few days and it has reached the point where everyone is now reporting that Dustin Runnels wanted to have breast implants. Breat implants...just think about it. As if Goldust wasn't bizarre enough, the man who once burned his own persona on national television wanted to increase that very same character by getting breast implants. As the story goes, Vince immediately nixed the idea (probably because of the recent bad press and the newly opened up stock offering) and when Dustin asked for his release due to personal problems, Vince directed the Talent Relations department (Jim Ross) to execute a fair and proper release.

I am in shock that a talent like Dustin Runnels would want to take such a drastic measure to keep his gimmick over. All that the WWF needed to do was put him in a program with either The Rock or Steve Austin and he would have been as over as they get. Can you see it? A tatoo of a smoking skull underneath that one of Razor on Goldust's chest? That would be something to see!
