OVERLOOKED POINTS

With no real NEW wrestling news to report on (I could be like every other reporter on the internet and keep telling you that McMahon is going to return and that the Undertaker is making a comeback soon and that the WCW is not as pleased as they thought they would be with Russo) I thought that I would highlight some of the other parts of the industry that are not being touched on too much lately. Here goes!

For all of you "big site" browsers, you know that Ted DiBiase is heading up a promotion that will give opportunities to those who want them. This has been documented throughout the internet and I think that WXO maybe a force for the ECW to reckon with as long as they actually get all of the markets that their television listings suggest that they will be getting. Just thought that I would let everyone know what I thought on that one!

The WCW booking crew is pushing to get Steve Williams either in the Varsity Club or out of the promotion. I find it very odd how that poor man just can't get over anymore. Oh wait, it might be that he has a bit of the Road Warriors Syndrome. You know, where you make a comeback well after the time that the crowd is done cheering for you? This Syndrome doesn't effect all wrestlers, though. Just look at the *gag* Old Age Outlaws. I think I need to heave after typing that name.

It seems that Erik Watts has been seen with the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes during his ECW stints. I can't fully remember if he was one of the dozens (and dozens...sorry Mankind, I had to) that were let go when Busch took over, but if he was I would fully expect to see him jump into the ECW with Dusty. The ECW is place where a young, fresh face like himself can get over and get a lot of heat surrounding him. Especially if he were to help out Dusty in a few feuds. That could be huge for that young man.

I don't know if I let all of you in on this, but I have been reading Mick Foley's book and it is really good. If you don't have it, then I suggest putting your name on the waiting list and getting a copy. It is a really good story about the sport, but it is all true!

That Wrestling Jesus character rumor was started as a parody by WrestleLine. Don't put any faith in it.

Do you know that one newsboard that I frequent had about 40 updates yesterday? Yeah, 40! I guess that that is really great considering that 18 of the updates had the same Cactus Jack news from after RAW, 6 updates about Stone Cold's surgery, and most of them had the same mix of The Rock's book, ECW locker room problems, and ratings mixed in them. The internet wrestling scene is getting a bit repetitive...at least among those big name sites. Enough is enough already. I could go on about this, but in the betterment of good taste, I won't.

Missy Hyatte in the WWF soon? This one is new to me. I don't know if she will be in the federation, though, since she is married to Scott Putski who was let go by the WWF for no particular reason in general. There may be some hard feelings left there...

Apparently the reason why Piper has not been on NITRO as part of the Old Age Outlaws (pardon me while I barf)...thank you...is because he was arrested for drunk driving. I read that on some newsboard somewhere.
