After viewing both NITRO and RAW last night I am pretty much sticking with the same scenario that I have been running with for the past few weeks. RAW dominated the wars once again with the explosive return of Kane and that "fucking" awesome performance by Kid Rock while NITRO and the rest of the WCW crew put on a great show of their own, but not at the caliber of RAW.
Again, let me just take my hat off to the WCW for rounding up their wagons and putting out a much better product than they were a few short months ago. Their entire show is good, but I really don't like the title situation. I do NOT want to see Jeff Jarrett as the WCW Champions when Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Bill Goldberg, Bret Hart, and other high quality talent is employed by the WCW.
Shouldn't that Asylum be a bit bigger? Just a few more feet here and there?
Rumors are floating around the internet that Tammy Sytch has been fired by the WCW. Apparently the viewers of WCW's Reload internet broadcast last night saw that Sytch was under the influence of a drug and one viewer even wrote that she looked as if she momentarily passed out or something on the desk of WCW Reload. I do not know if the WCW would fire her right there on the spot, but then again I don't know if there was a stipulation in her contract or not about drug use. Reports of her being fired or suspended are rather hasty...there is no definite word as to what will happen to her at this moment.
Anyone else think that Russo is putting himself over too much in this feud with Flair?
There are rumors going around the wrestling industry that when his contract expires next month, Curt Hennig will be looking to the WWF for new employment. Personally, I think that this would be the right move for Hennig to make at this point in his career. Now that his nagging back injuries are behind him and he is getting back into a great ring shape, he should be used in an environment where his skills can be shown to a global audience. The WWF is the premiere wrestling organization on the planet right now and it is the place where you can see the most over wrestlers in the business, but more importantly for Hennig, it is the place where a fan can see the most technically sound wrestlers in the world. The Benoits, HHHs, Malenkos, Guerreros, Jerichos, X-Pacs, Hardys, etc...these are the men that Hennig can fight right in with and can hold great matches against. Look for more on Hennig's pending career decision next month when his contract expires.
