Shamrock, Tazz, Thunder, and More!!!
While there have been many names in the news lately, one of them that is kinda surprising is that of Ken Shamrock. A lot of people on the internet are speculating that he is the surprise that Bischoff and Russo have for the wrestling world. The only problems that lie in this are the facts that he is still under the WWF's no compete clause (intact for a full year after he stopped his active competition) and that he is still in ties with the WWF. The reason that this rumor may have come about is that Shamrock has always been a big name in the California area as he has a school there and also hails from Cali. If you can remember, Bischoff's secret meeting was held in L.A., CA so there may have been a little correlation in some fan's minds.
If you folks follow the ECW, then you know that the Sandman appeared at a recent house show drunk as could be! At this show he was so drunk and out of character that he even made Raven crack up in the ring. The story out of this situation arises where Sandman began caning his opponents. He reportedly hit Jack Victory with a nasty cane shot that even some of the wrestlers were taken aback by it. Victory was pissed at this (obviously) and he got into an argument with the Sandman backstage. All in all, the Sandman will be fined for his actions as well as suspended, as it has been reported elsewhere.
Was it just me or did Brian Adams seem unbelievably huge last night on Thunder? Also, with that same segment of last night's Thunder, who was that man in the army get-up? The announcers seemed to remember him, but I can't. If anyone has the real scoop on him, please let me know!
I don't know if it has been listed anywhere, but the overrun for RAW was a 7.6.
I mentioned Thunder before. Here are some more thoughts...isn't it sickening how tan Hollywood is? And isn't it great to see Hollywood back and that good old red and yellow up in flames somewhere? Does it seem like Hollywood has a better chance than Hulk to beat Kidman at the Bash? I think so!
Tazz has been training for his return to the ring. All sources say that he has dropped some major weight and is now tipping the scales at 240. That is a great weight for Tazz to be at considering that he is not the tallest guy to ever wrestle. Look for him to get a renewed push upon his return to WWF television. Some are even saying that he might be in the title hunt by the end of the summer...I don't know about that, though.
One of the my great readers from Dallas sent this in:
"...the NFL is going to experiment with players wearing tiny cameras and microphones during network coverage of exhibition games. Already the World Wrestling Federation's Vince McMahon, who promised such innovations on his XFL games, is making his mark in football..."
Hey, he is a creative genius...and that is not marking out, it is stating the obvious.
