Speaking on Eddie's Passing
November 20, 2005

It’s almost as if I’m still laying in my bed Sunday morning dreaming..

But when my younger brother came into my room to wake me up, I figured it was going to be another average Sunday morning. I was wrong, when he told me the news on Eddie Guerrero’s passing I thought maybe he read a headline wrong, I hoper he had, but when I got to my computer to see the news I couldn’t believe my eyes.

I think back on all the great things Eddie Guerrero has done for the business as a whole, and I can’t begin to understand why such a man would be taken so soon. You know it’s sad, the business we all know and love so much, has as much death in it as it does. So many great people are gone long before their time is even near.

Eddie was always one of the few things that kept me interested in the business I have so much I want to say about the man right now, but with the circumstances I don’t know if I can begin to piece the words together.

I just wanted to say that Eddie was one of the greatest talents in all aspects of this business, and I highly doubt there were ever be anyone like him again.

I believe it was Eddie who once said “The character of a man isn’t judged by how he is when he’s on top, but by how he picks himself up each time he gets knocked down”

Throughout his life Eddie has his demons and he overcame it, If Eddie was on top he performed just like he would on the bottom fighting his way to the top, he never let the success go to his head he lived to entertain all of us and that is only a small fraction of what made him so successful.

I will be doing a tribute column to Eddie to cover his whole life/career.

I would do it now, but I want to make sure everything possible is researched so if there is Anyone out there that didn’t know Eddie and his career as much as the next person can learn and know how great this and truly was inside and outside of the ring.

I hope all of you, and most of all Eddie enjoys it, wherever he’s at.

Rest In Peace Eddie.
